The Detroit River and
Windsor’s Dieppe Park are
the sites for 100 different
events, including a tug-rope
race between Windsor and
Detroit Police teams, a tug-
boat race, a “Conklin” cami-
val, a casino, and North
America’s largest interna-
tional fireworks display on
July Ist.

A million people will
line the banks on both sides
of the Detroit River. At 10
p-m., the one-hour fireworks
display is launched from the
middle so that people on
both banks can see clearly.
