The members of the S.C.A. | extend their thanks and appre- _ lation to the girls and their leaders ‘for their many ~kind- nesses to the seniors. A discussion took place regarding the parking of cars in front of the Centre where there is a yellow line. This line was placed there by the city to enable the Seniors to have a: loading and unloading zone for the members who are unable to walk too far. The matter will be discussed further. The kitchen committee was voted some money for the pur- chase of refreshments. Mem- bers were reminded that Jan. 18 will be an afternoon of entertainment. Meeting was. closed with the singing of The Queen, fol- lowed by refreshments and a social hour, Mrs, C. John William Lozareff Aged 70, Buried Friday Prayer services began last Thursday evening from the chapel of the Castlegar Funeral Home and concluded Friday afternoon for John William Lazareff of Castlegar, who died Wednesday at the Castlegar and District Hospital at the age of 70, Born in Saskatchewan, he came'to the.Kootenays in 1913. He was educated in Trail, where he later operated a buitding supply store until his retirement in 1967. He had been a resident of Kinnaird since 1950. Mr. Lazareff was a mem- ber of the Elks Lodge and curling club and .was also an ardent hockey fan. He is survived by his wife, Mary; and six daughters, Mrs. Mary Plotnikoff of Robson, Mrs, Ed (Mabel) Isakson of Castlegar, Mrs. Alex (Anne) *+Plotnikoff of Castlegar, Mrs. Sam (Margo) Harshenin of Surrey, Mrs. Frank (Dorothy) Perehudoff of Castlegar and Vickie Lazareff of Castlegar.
