Steven set a 20-goal point scoring record for
Northern Michigan University in 1980 and was the.
only unanimous choice in the all-star baiioiiing for
the Central. Collegiate Hockey Association ALL-
STAR TEAM. Steven also fed Northern Michigan into
its first-ever NCAA Fina! Four appearance with his
5th hat trick of the season. Not an easy chore since —
the opposition in the 4-3 win was Minnesota, the
same team that supplied so many players to the
the Gold Medal
in Lake Placid, In the 2980-81 season Steven con-
tinues to'be the top scorer in the league and has
been called the most. promising college hockey -
player in the entire United States.
