A dinner honouring the couple was held at the Heritage Inn in Nelson, hosted by their children Many friends, neighbours and family members joined Mr, and Mrs. Kanigan in the celebration. The couple were married in Glade, December 15, 1921 the wedding party then travelled by horse and sleigh to Ootischenia, where they settled and made their home. A short time later they moved to the Taghum and Blewett area where they still reside comfortably in their own home They were a very active cou ple in their younger years and both worked very hard to survive the depression years. The couple have nine grand- children and 14 great grandchil- dren.
