It’s taking time for yourself.” Mary, a beautiful successful business woman with a family as well, says, “Success is related to happiness. Having happy positive days. It’s the ability to grow and learn from not so positive days.” Vi, a mother and grandmother, writer and self-employed, believes success is “when I do not react to life, but take action to care for myself and others. It's being the best that I can be.”" She says, “My grandchild is in con- trol when I react, power is in my hand when I don't! Success is controlling my feelings.” I know there are many other definitions of success. May be one way of defining it is to define . what it is not! An article was shared giving a 10 point prescrip- tion for UNHAPPINESS. (I don't know the source, sorry) 1. MAKE little things bother you. 2. LOSE your PERSPEC- TIVE on things & make sure you don’t put first things first 3. Get yourself something to WORRY about and make sure it’s something you can’t do any- thing about. 4. It reminded him of the Scripture “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy.” (Matt. 6:19) Next week: How to store up your treasures in heaven Airy Mountain ppliance Service call ONLY *20 For friendly service anytime call TAXES * TAXES * TAXES Work Smarter, Not Harder! They pved each other very much, but they could ot live together. You were right to tell Bystander” that her arents need profes- ional help. They Mmight also benefit from seeparating for a while. Dur parents did this nd finally divorced, Mut the time apart mallowed them to work Mhings out, and they ventually remarried. As for us_ kids, divorce was a piece of cake compared to the daily fighting. It is Wvery difficult for chil- ‘dren to get up and go ®to school with clear heads when there is so much turmoil at home. Picking up the pieces of your family after } each fight is not easy. Now, several years later, we are all close to one another, we lead productive lives, and we're relatively well-adjusted. Being the oldest, like “Bystander,” I certainly remember the pain. It never really goes away. Tell her to hang in there. The future is almost cer- S tain to be better than the past. — Remem- bering in Utah Dear Utah: I hope parents who fight in front of their chil- dren will read this with interest and vow HB to do better. *Oct9 Happy SthBirthday Sheldon Love Jeffrey and Jortie Happy 7th birthday Jeffrey Love Mop, Dad & Jordi Happy .
