year. Only #hose units listed will be
used by the Forest Regions and
Districts when tiring cegstruction
and maintenance equipment on an
hourly basis. The following types of
equipment may be required: skid
ders: dump trucks; crawler tractors
scrapers, front-end loqders: graders
excavators and backhoes, shovels
and cranes; pite driving equipment
rock drilling equipment, compactior
equipment. miscellaneous heavy
duty construction equipment

Rentals will normally be on an all
found hourly rate basis except dump
trucks and miscellaneous equipment
where different rate systems are in
effect: Rental rates will be requested
if and when the equipment is
required

Snowmobile
traps set

WINNIPEG (CP) — A 15-year-old
boy with a dislike for snowmobilers
Was behind some deadly traps set on

“The outskirts of Winnipeg

Telephone cables strung taut at neck
level were found across well-travelled
snowmobile trails.

No one was hurt but one machine
was flipped into a ditch by a cable set
lower than the rest. Driver and rider
walked away unscathed.

“It appears that although his inten-
tions were noble — they were having
problems with snowmobile traffic —
his methodology was a little bit weak
and of course, dangerous,"’ said Cpl
John Henderson.
