Tho writer ex- pressed concern about a poli- tical party having identification signs on the BCGEU head- ‘quarters in Nelson, B.C. Chabot and Mrs. Pat Jordon, MLA for North Okanagan. The establishment of this ensive and important ree- . gation system on the Arrow reservoir has been made pos- sible through the co-operation of B.C. Hydro, as part of its development program under the Columbia River Treaty. Funding for development and some maintenance of these facilities is being provided by B.C. Hydro as part of mitiga- tion and compensation for the “flooding of the Arrow reser- voir, and it is expected that full development of the park -sys- tem will be completed during the next five years. The provisions of the set- tlement contain the following major thrusts: e Four small parks to be established at Burton, Fau- quier, Edgewood and Shelter Bay to provide modern boat launch facilities. Construction of these facilities by B.C. Hydro is underway and will be com- pleted this year; e Improvement of ‘facili- ties at two existing provincial parks — Blanket Creek at the north end and Syringa Creek at the south end of the reservoir; Final Chance on the Lowest Film: Prices in Town!
