We can all forsee that it won't be long until we are living in a world we scarcely recognize. The pres- sure of change the world over is about to blow the cork. Until then, we are learning to live with technol- ogy gone mad, What will our world be like in only a few years from now? Will there be a comfortable living for all, or staggering unemployment? Will there be a renewed respect for God and his pre- cepts or shall this humanistic philosophy so dominant in our society continue to sup- press the message of Christ to the world? Who knows? We can only speculate. May God give us wisdom on elec- _ tion days (if there be a choice) and bear our political leaders up in prayer. There is one thing certain though. God's ultimate plan will be carried through to completion. The Bible is the authority and it says, “Evil men and seducers shal] wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.” But “nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal. The Lord knoweth them that are his, and let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. . “For what if some did not believe? Shall their unbelief make the faith of God with- out effect?” What does it mean to us that Christ Himself said, “Heaven and earth shall pass away but my words shall not pass away?” Two thousand years later we are reading His very words. As opposed to any other ancients whose quo- tations we may be reading today, there is one econvine- ing difference. Christ is still alive. The fact that Jesus rose from the dead as he said he would is a well docu- mented event in history. No matter what Hes ahead He shall remain “the same yes- terday, today, and forever.” Valley man passes away Bill Mike Arishenkoff of Crescent Valley passed away July 18 at the age of 72.
