— A six-year-old boy who has
stopped breathing more than
100 times has his own body-
guard and emergency res-
ponse team at school.

A full-time teacher's aide
has guarded Travis Vande
Beeke since he entered kin-
dergarten two years ago, and
eight teachers trained in
cardio-pulminary resuscia-
tion will come running in an
emergency.

Like other children, the
lanky boy with brown eyes
and freckles plays soccer,
likes to skateboard and re-
cently earned a gold medal in
his tapdancing class.
