The letter starts with the words, “Trust in the Lord with all good faith and He will acknowledge and He will light the way”. While this is not such bad advice, the rest of the letter is disgusting. The letter says that this “prayer” has been sent for good fuck with the original .coming from the Netherlands, Appar- ently, if you send 20 copies out to others they, too, are sup- receive some “luck” in the mail in four days. If you do not send out the copies of the letter, you are supposed to face a tragedy in four days. The letter has no name of. any kind on it. There is no ‘might take this chain letter’ posed to get lucky ard you will: Chain Letter Disturbing . Tequest for money in it, It con- tains phrases like “This is no joke”. This is rubbish of the worst kind. The so-called prayer that begins this letter is neither prayer nor is it Scripture. God does not honor such threaten- ing letters. God does not work that way. While He does warn us of judgment to come for sin, He reaches out with His arms of love to everyone of us to spare us from that judgment if we will receive His Son Jesus as Saviour. God does not promise us blessings through threatenings, but through His free grace and love for us.
