Born in Halifax, N.S., and educated at Edgehill school in Windsor and the Univeristy of King’s College Halifax, Mrs. Crossley came to Castlegar in 1952 after residing in Bralorne and Kaslo. While in Castlegar, Joan was active for many years and played key roles in Kinnaird Little Theatre productions. She was leader of the Junior Auxiliary for many years and a long-time member of the Anglican Church Women. She is survived by her loving husband George; daughter Pamela and her husband Rick Fullerton and daughter Katie of Prince George, Cathy and her husband Allen Markin, and daughters Carrie and Johan- na of Castlegar; two stepchildren, Colleen and Dean, both of Calgary; three brothres, Philip of Toronto, Peter of Calgary ang Paul of Castlegar She was predeceased by her father, Walker, and her mother Ella G. Walker. Funeral service will be held Friday, Oct. 5, 1990 at I p.m. at the-St. David's Anglican Church with Rev. Dorothy Barker officiating.
