Doukhobor wedding held The homes of the bride's and groom's parents were the settings of a traditional Doukhobor ceremony that recently tinited in marriage Natasha Shrelaeff, daughter of Philip and Liz Strelaeff, and Andrei Makortoff, son of Andrew and Nellie Makortoff. The bride, who was given in marriage by both her parents, wore a traditional tea-length two-piece dress of white satin with lace overlay and matching shawl. Pearl beads accented the edges of the open-lace, long sleeves of the dress, sewen by the bride's mother. The bride also wore her mother's pearl brooch and a pearl necklace and earrings, a gift from her parents. She carried a bouquet of burgundy roses, set off by white tiger lilies. Jackie Popoff was the maid of honor and Dena 1 was the bri They wore two-piece pale blue satin suits of similar design to the bride's, and carried sprays of blue tiger lilies, aceented with white. The groom wore a black tuxedo with pink cummerbund and bow tie, and best man Terry Halisheff and usher Harold Saliken wore grey tuxedos with grey cummerbunds and bow ties. The Playmor Hall was decked in blue and white bells and streamers, silver doves, and white tissue roses. The wedding cake decorated light blue with white roses and accents.
