BUILDING AGE

The Castlegar Campus is comprised of a variety of academic,
administrative, student life, recreational, support and residential
facilities. The campus originally consisted of five interconnected
classroom blocks that linked to the centralized library. Several
additions and renovations have added to the College’s main

campus since its original construction in 1966.

2. Building Age

Opportunity: Many of the core academic buildings original
to the Castlegar Campus have served well beyond their
anticipated lifespan. Modernizing these structures within
their existing footprint will create impactful revitalization

while allowing for bigger moves in the future.
