The bride's sister, Fiona Nicholson, was the maid of honor and the bride’s nieces, Rory Herron and Erin Beirne, acted as flower girls. The bride’s nephew Joshua Halbauer carried the rings. James Sabine of Toronto, a friend of the groom, Stood as best man while the *bride’s brother-in-law, Dave “Herron of Castlegar, and Keith Lautrup of Castlegar, a friend of the bride and groom, acted as best men. The bride's form-fitting dress of rose-designed lace over satin featured a high neckline with a net in- sert at the bodice and back of the neck, which fastened with a row of satin-covered buttons. The long lace sleeves came to a point at the wrists and the bottom of the dress had four tiers of ruffles that carried a short train. The back of the dress also featured a large satin bow. Her headdress was a narrow, satin-covered band which came to a point on her forehead with a spray of flowers on one side. She carried a bouquet of white gladiolas, orchids and heather and wore her mother’s gold bracelet and the traditional blue garter. The maid of honor wore a form-fitting dress of red polyester satin with three-quarter length sleeves, a were short in front and longer in the back with a bow on one side. The maid of honor carried a bouquet of red and white carnations, orchids, heather-and-tartan ribbon. The flower girl’s bouquets consisted of white flowers and red ribbon. The mother of the bride wore a pink-embossed dress, draped at the right shoulder and crossing to a bow on the left side. The groom’s mother wore a one- Piece outfit in off-white trimmed in green. . The groom, best man and pageboy wore black tuxedos with tartan cummerbunds and bow-ties. The groom's boutonniere was a white orchid while the best man and pageboy wore red orchids. A reception was held at the Fireside Inn and taped music was provided for the dance that followed. Guests came from Scotland, Toronto, Vancouver, ‘Coquittam, Richmond, Victoria, Prince Rupert, Terrace, Penticton, Edmonton and Trail. The room was decorated with hearts, bells and streamers in'the bride’s color theme of red and white. The head table was decorated with flowers and draped with tartan and the centrepieces on the other tables were in the shape of shamrocks with red and white flowers and candles. They were made by the bride’s sister, Lorraine, of Penticton. The two-tiered wedding cake, made in the shape of a shamrock and decorated with flowers and lucky charms, was baked by the groom’s mother and iced tv Mrs. B. Lundquist. Alex McKinnon, a friend of the family, acted as master of ceremonies and Patrick Beirne, the bride’s brother-in-law, gave a toast to the bride. The couple travelled to Vancouver for their honeymoon and the bride’s going-away outfit was a navy and white suit.
