Eastern Star Ladies Hear
Report on Cancer Projects

After their recent meeting the
members of Minto Chapter No, 79,
Order of the Eastern Star, enter-
tained their husbands and friends
in the Twin Rivers hall where o
tape recording was heard.

‘This tape had been recorded at
the Grand Chapter of B.C., Order
of the Eastern Star, which was held
in Vancouver the end of last May,

On the tapo was the address
given by Hugh Tamislea, Most Wor-
thy Grand Patron, Also on the tape
was the report of Dr, A. Max Evans
on the Oancer project, Dr, Evans Js
® representative of the British Col.
umbin Cancer Institute.

He said in part that the Order
of the Eastern Star have spent the
staggering sum of $90,116.92 on the
