Senior ladies at their
Ladies Invitational, held
last Thursday.

More than 30 lady-golfers
turned out for the affair,
with the day’s format fol-
lowing a best ball scramble
(two ladies and three men).
This speeded up play con-
siderably and did not tie up
the course.

place with identical scores
of 71.

After celebrating May as Child Care Month, Castlegar and area parents and their
children, along with early childhood educators and child care workers capped off the
month by holding the first-ever Toddle-A-Thon in Kinsmen Park. We all have a
vested interest in how children are caréd for, because how they are cared for has a
direct impact on their health, growth and development. In their march, held ‘May 27,
this group of more than 85 people proved that concerns over adequate child care are
far reaching and the issue is no longer just a women's focus, but society's in general.
