tricted on the lower Arrow Lake by the Renata
Debris boom which extends from the west shore
‘in a nortt ly direction to within 300 feet
of the east shore.

About 1700 feet of the boom at the north-
east end is a'swing section which can be opened
for commercial traffic with a tow. All other traf-
fic will use the 300 foot wide channel on the
east shore.

The northerly extremity of the fixed portion
of the boom will.exhibit a white light flashing
every 4 seconds, The anchor float at the north-
east end of the swing section will exhibit a green

To Serve Four Toastmistress Clubs

the four Kootenay Toastmist-
ress clubs; namely, Vali
(Castlegar), Cranbrook, Kok-
anee (Nelson) and Silver City
(Trail).

The installation meeting
was held at Selkirk College.
The installing officer was
Mrs. S. M. McCulloch of Vic-
toria, who is supervisor for
Pacific Northwest region.
