We would like to thank all those individuals, businesses and local
politicians who supported Mike Normington's petition to stay in
Canada-with his family. As you may have heard, Mike's
deportation order was stayed late last Friday until a thorough
review of his case by Canada's Immigration in Vancouver on

Monday, February 27 at 10:30 am.

The efforts of our local citizens turned the tide in Mike's favour
and we are deeply grateful for all the faxes, letters written,

petitions, and signs.

We would especially like to thank Suzy Hamilton, Shirley
Montgomery, Joanne Partridge and Dave Cowie, and all those
businesses who graciously allowed us to place our petition on

their counters.

Special mention should also be made of the businesses who made
