My wife and I did take a trip up Vancouver Island as fer as Campbell River a few: weeks ago and we found the country very beautiful, particularly around Parksville and Qualicum. The weather was cold and clear and the — view across the Straits of Georgia and Texada Island to the snow-capped mountains on the mainland was really gorgeous. At Parkaville we'met David King who had worked in Trail for a time - in the Post Office I think. In Courtenay we met Mr. and Mrs. Geoff. Mrs. McCusker was Eileen Faulkner before she married Bill and was a stenographer in both Trail and Calgery.offices of the C.Mo& S. Go. Bill now is editor of the Courtenay paper. .
