By John Dalziel The teachers of Schoo! District No, 9 are by and large, a serious,.sober, conscientious and dedicated group of citizens, Occasionally, they do let their hair down and when they do tt is something to experience. Such an occasion took place ‘at the local curling tink last Saturday when, the ninth an- nual teacher's bonsplel was held. ‘ Some of the styles had to be seen to be believed. Hats and caps were at times out of this world and there was at least one sweater that would have made the lordliest Ben- gal Tiger green with envy had he seen it. At times the action on the Ice and in the hack was almost. unbelievable, but along with all the zany golngs-on there. was same real good curling and real keen competition. One of the finest shots of. the bonsplel was:made by Diane Colman in the semi-final of the ‘B' event. Down four. coming home, Diane made a real Brier take-out of the Frank Hamilton second shot to lie five and pull the game from the fire.
