Pythian Sisters held its semi-
monthly meeting April 28 in
the Masonic Hall.

MEC. Joy Saunders pre-
sided over the routine busi-
ness meeting. Gerry Wanless
was initiated into the Order
of Pythian Sisters,

Plans were made for several
of the sisters to attend dis-
trict convention No. 2 in Trail
April 30.

On April 30 several of the
sisters of Kootenay Temple

attended District No. 2 con-
vention in Trail. DDGC Vir-
ginia Forester of Trail Tem-
ple No. 3 was introduced by
PDDGC Ora Lightle of Koot-
enay Temple No. 37, Castle-

gar.

A penny march followed
with the proceeds going to
cerebral palsy. Bills were

cussed, and the treasurer's
report heard.

The convention closed at 6
p.m. after which the 94
guests gathered in the KP
Hall for a happy hour fol-
lowed by a barbecue roast
supper prepared by the
Knights of Trail Lodge No.
23.

the recipient of the shield for
the memory work compe-
tition.
