One council member was not even courteous enough to face us when addressed, Is this all the respect we rate for “electing and paying these officers to deal with our *elty problems? Stan Partridge announced re- cently that Miss Anne Quaed- viieg will represent the local club at the 1976 “Adventure in Citizenship” to be held in Ottawa May 9 to 13, Miss Quaedvileg, aged 18, who lives with her parents at Robson, is a Grade 12 student at Stanley Humphries Second- ary School. In the 25 years since the project was conceived by The Rotary Club of Ottawa, more than 6,000 young Canadians have participated in the “Ad- venture.” Students, chosen for out- standing achievements in their own communities, are brought together each year in the. nation’s capital to see the centre of government, the national parliament, the na- tional centres for the arta and sciences, and to meet leaders of the eg fo. Ottawa covering such ‘subjects as citi- zenship, parliamentary proced:- ure, democratic government, and issues ‘of ‘the day.:-They hear addresses by the Prime ‘Minister, Leader of the Opposi- tion, and ther prominent Cana- @lans at luncheons and dinners.
