study program in the training of
technicians and technologists.
Mr. Hazel will work in close
contact with the Trail and Nel-
son Manpower offices in order
to secure part-time and sum-
mer oi ella opportunities
for the college students.
Mr, Hazle ‘is well qualified
for his specialized fleld. Edu-
cated in Vancouver, he spent
four ‘years in ‘industry before
entering the University of Bri-
tish Columbia. He graduated in
1966 with a bachelor of com-
merce degree in industrial re-
lations.

In June of this year, he ace
cepted a position with the Man-
power Department of the Feder-
al Government as student place-
ment officer at Notre Dame Uni-
versity in Nelson, At that time
there was no qualified officer
to appoint -to- Selkirk College,
and as Mr. Hazle’s work develop-
ed it became clear that it would
