The people of Rossland are tired of the
newspaper controversy going on between
the city engineer and the waterworke
company, and are ready to decide the
matter themeelves at the polls, and it is
the duty of the city council to give them
an opportunity of doing so a8 early-ad
possible, The fact seems to be estab-
lished that there is plenty of available
water for anew system, Its approxim-
ate coat has been learned, and. the low-
est price asked for the present plant, 20
thére seems to be no excuse for further
delay. The people understand the situa-
tion, and are ready to decide the matter.
Let them ‘do so.
