PEAC 100 - PEACE STUDIES | PEAC 100: Peace Studies I is an interdisciplinary and values-based course that is the first of two introductory core courses in Peace Studies. Readings will include United Nations documents, as well as essays and excerpts from the writings of philosophers, anthropologists, psychologists, and peace researchers. Students will thus gain familiarity with literature addressing a broad range of past and current theories and discourse related to peace and conflict. Through their own reflection and working collaboratively in groups, students will have the opportunity to move from theory to practice in one of the most challenging issues of humanity’s collective experience: building cultures of peace. WS 100 - WOMEN’S STUDIES I Women's Studies 100 is an interdisciplinary course designed to introduce students to the study of women in global cultures as portrayed through literature and sociological studies. Topics to be covered include the women's movement, sexuality, "herstory", gender roles, philosophy and law.
