The artists featured are Sandor Atilla Tandory, a very pop- ular Kootenay artist’ who lives in Castlegar ‘and Ed Bamiling, an- artist who works with clay, mainly non- functional Raku and other low témperature fired pieces. Tandory was born in Hun- gary in 1941. He moved to BC. in 1978, settling in Castlegar. Tandory is a pro- lific artist specializing i in local and country scenes in water- color, He has studied under Les Weisbrich at David Thomp- son University Summer School of Art and has given several workshops on. his own, Ed Bamiling was born in Winnipeg, and studied at Si- mon Fraser University, The Banff Centre, The Sun Valley Centre for the Arts and Hu- ‘manities in Sun Valley, Idaho and L’Ecole des Beaux Arts, Aix-en — Province, France. He has participated in nu- merous ‘shows in B.C., Al- berta, Idaho, and France and has work in permanent col- lections of the Alberta Pot- ters’: Association and The Banff Centre’ as well as in private collections in Canada, the U.S., Japan, England, and France.
