The current Strategic Plan “ Building Remarkable Futures” (2019-2024) specifically references renewing the Facilities Master Plan for Selkirk College. “5.1 Renew and utilize the facilities Master Plan for Selkirk College to reflect the strategic directions envisioned for the facilities, both owned and leased, at the college” 2. Interms of the modernization of campus facilities, there is a mandate consistent in both plans to invest specifically in technology, connectivity, welcoming spaces, learning commons spaces and capital equipment. 3. There is a shift from the previous Strategic Plan “Beyond Imagination” (2013-2018) that specified “state-of-the-art learning environments’ to the current Strategic Plan “Building Remarkable Futures” (2019-2024) that calls for modernizing existing infrastructure and ensuring efficient and effective use of existing facilities. 4. There is a consistent push to improve student and support services with an emphasis on Indigenous students and others with barriers to access. 5.
