Peterson came up from the Waneta and Trail Creek company’s property last night and reports that it is looking better and more promis- ing.than ever before. Having sunk through a fault of about eight feet of granite, the shaft is now at a depth of abdut 30 feet all in a well mineralized rock carrying iron, copper and galena. Mr. Peterson predicts that his next re- port will bring Waneta and Trail creek into the forefront of Rossland and Trail creek properties. W. C. The Cascade Steam Laundry Com- pelled to Move. The underwriters entered a complairzit about the steam boiler of the Cascade ateam laundry, being in the Postofiice block, and threatened to cancel all in« surance on the building and its con- tents unless it was removed. The fire wardens’ attention was called to it and upon investigation they com- eluded it was unsafe and ordered it removed.
