Gastlegar Airport Seeks Federal Aid A grant will be sought from the federal government for main- tenance of the Castlegar airpor! The airport, owned by‘ th three municipalities of Castlegar, Kinnaird and Nelson, operated at a deficit last year and thus i: eligible for a grant. The 1958 financial statement port committee. of Castlegar is chairman of the Ald. Edith Van Maarion of Nel- son. A better water supply is be- ing sought for the airport and three proposals are under study. These include pumping from the Columbia river, drilling of a well and enlargement of the present system.
