to 18 months in jail after being charged

4 on two Regional District of Central
Kootenay referendums which, if
passed, will provide ongoing financial
support for Salm's swimming pootand
museums in Salmo and Y mir

If the referenduris are approved,
residents will be tax¢d and the RDCK
along with the Vallage of Salmo will
provide the funds

The first referendum asks residents
if they are in favor of a tax increase to
provide funding for museums in Salmo
and Ymir. The secorfd referendum, if
approved,’ will provide funding for
operational expenses for Salmo’s out
door swimming pool

Salmo village council has already
voted to help fund the projects, said
Brian Snelgrove, the village’s clerk
