One half of the show Is being put together In Trail and the other half In Kimberley. The sponsor of the Trall segment and the Trail performances Is the Trail and District Community Arts Councll. The historical characters are: Jim DoLong as Fritz Heinze, the daring entrepreneur who built the first smelter at Trall; Wally Bertola as Sir William Van Horne, a major figure In the Canadian Pacific Railway; Jim Waldie as Arthur Dwight, and adviser to Van Horne; Sam McBride as Walter H. Aldridge, who negotiated for the purchase of Theatre and the Kimberley Arts Centre 64 are co- sponsoring the Kimberley segment and sponsored the Kimberley performances. Cohan songs, “A Real Slow Drag" from Scott Joplin’s “Treemonisha", “Gypsy Love Song”, “Falling In Love with Someone", and ‘The Merry Widow Waltz” and “Villa” from “The Merry Widow", and a medley of the hit songs of 1908. The singers Include: Bette DeVito, Sue Whitehead, Kathy Moorhead, Wally Bertola, Jim Waldle, Frank Finney, Marlene Rusnell, Eleanor Honey, Marika Swinkels, Phyllis Scala, Jim DeLong, Mike Bourchler, George Bourchier, Babs Bourchler, John McGregor and Sam McBride. Also on the program are “Three Little Malds" from Gilbert and Sullivan's “Mikado” done by Babs Bourchler, Sandy Roberts, Peggy Bonell, Don Duff and Don Davies. Mrs. Gert Pederson will fill the dual role of choral director ‘and accompanist while the show has been written and directed by Steve Waterhouse and Liz Graham.
