Modeled after the Festival. of Trees in Edmonton, the gala. evening in Castlegar began with cocktails and a silent auction on the 50-plus hand crafted and donated gift items. Everything from bee’s wax candles to Christmas wreaths to a gas barbecue were represented at the auction. This wa followed by a scrumptious j dinner, consisting of such: tempting delights as Jumbo, Shrimp cocktails, Cream of’: Asparagus soup, Toranados ‘ Rossini, Filet of Beef on Crouton topped with Pate de Foi Gras just to name a. few. . tree auction featuring 18 beautifully | decorated Christmas trees, Each is worth over $100.
