Selkirk courses set
for Slocan Valley

During the month of February, two workshops will be
held at the Slocan Valley Extension Centre in Crescent Val-
ley. Both workshops will be given by residents of the Slo-
can Valley. oe

Beryl Clayton, who has been studying and practicing con-
sensus decision making for the past 15 years and is cur-
rently taking a mediation course with the Justice Institute
of B.C., will be leading the Building Bridges: Meeting To-
gether, Working Together workshop on Feb. 20 from 10 a.m.
to 4 p.m.

On Feb. 18 from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Winlaw School,
Gregoire Lamoureux will be giving a slide presentation as
an introduction to the topic of permaculture. Then, on Feb.
27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Lamoureux, will be giving a full-
day workshop at the Crescent Valley Centre. Topics covered
include: ethics and principles, agroforestry, building soil fer-
tility, organic gardening, animals in the system, the green-
