CASTLEGAR NEWS, Thursday May 21, 1959 FOR DISTRICT WOMEN Cancer Clinic Starts Here B.C.'s second Well Women's Clinic is in the process of being formed in the Castlegar District in an effort to ensure early de- 4ection of cancer, Mrs, Bryan Smith, president of the Trail unit of tho Can- adian Cancer Society, attended a meeting revently at the home of Mrs, W. 3, Evans in Kin- nalrd ad outlined the objectives of the clinic to a group of wo- men from Kinnaird, Castlegar and Robson. Mrs, Smith sald “Such an organization would assure . the examination of a number of wo- men who, If left to themselvesy would neglect being examined.” Members of the Well.Wom- en's Clinic will be examined yearly by the physician of their choice. This will assure the de- tection of cancer in its earliest and most easily curable stage.
