This could be due to the fact that rattan and wicker furniture is influencing the decorating scene once again, At one time, baskets were used mainly for bables and laundry or for bread and, occasionally, a waste basket, but their uses have been multi- plied greatly due to the fact that we can now get baskets in every conceivable size and shape, with handles, lids and cushions, ‘ Since we can think of uses for baskets in every room of the house, let's go through one room at a time and list them, Living Room Pat your plants in baskets (the pots and drain dishes that ist Baskets are not water proofl), Place them in a Ifttle group on the floor or’ hang them, Put magazines in them, rolled up into a round basket or laid flat in a rectangle one. The’ board approved as policy its scholarship commit- tee’s recommendation that the examination be discontinued but in order to ‘qualify for the $1,000 scholarships, of which two will be awarded this year, a student must have a “C" aver- age in English. According to the policy approved by trustees, the year's average of marks would be used to establish eligibility for scholarship.
