Meanwhile, Workers’ Com- pensation Board says its rec. ords are full of deaths of fallers and buckers who have fallen victim to snags. Snags are upright dead trees over 10 feet high, which have a habit of coming down when least expected. Two of the most hazardous are snags which have been partially cut through and left standing and those which have been completely cut and left hanging up in the boughs of ig. and djoining trees, the WCB LAST WEEK says in the release. It says that recently a faller cut a large cedar, un- aware that just just 40 me- tres away was a limb-bound birch snag left that way by a weekend wood cutter. When the cedar fell, it brushed the tree that was holding up the snag, causing it to crash down on the logger. The weekend wood cut- ter's negligence killed the worker — a tragedy which could have been avoided if proper -eutting practises had been followed, the WCB warned. meq jen © puo 19 “HOOL 4040 sewwne eiorud uno “Burysyy “Buy “wosEou - uo ewoy Asyonb 4o *4°bs 000'S BOVEY NMOL STEVOIAICRNS TTTSE-B9E — O41 0s‘9£$ — “env 4is-v08 008’ 6rs — 4s puro-sez “2U07 SepOYPI4D SP/ “$8120 19°Z UO “eHINs UIP Z srjd “suLpq § ‘ewoy 0610) sedns “AMD Ut Burst) Mon, IV d NI IWOH 000'ezs — 15 81-108 02 01 — 84110 poomysitg 6081 eos'res — env pc 109e | gooress «<< ~ equi, umovg 006'6.28 — 90415 Yr ZLEE [O}2seUNUOD ‘SOs2y SL'ST 000’ sts vorsss seuay OL seas es au 6b 0080'S $ | wosperty sesry 99°C IA MVDONS 008’ sis Nolda] 'suaaso rewaa0 006’ 12g — sav wi 20790219 “10) 08 1*SL (008 468 — 1d 2ovensDH VIEL “s0L$ — “ery OIQUNjOD LEZZ “JOuUE}!Od 4 _ Huesjeoxe soy S1YL “ewoy aAjs-sepjo sods 0 yim BuyuoZ ry ES Lvee-soe — s08e}1s0> “INI $Y3119S1$9d NYILSIM i} po 13° o4 puo hiiz-soe QU] WU f=L IDNIDV MIIANIVLNNO 14 ¢ ‘ides ‘Anpreupem 01 yBnosy OF ‘Bry ‘Aopasnys § ides ‘Anpseupeyy 01 yBnony OC ‘Bry ‘Aopunys Last chance, 20 Ib. case 9¢»| Champion program...
