84 December 13, 1967 Eaton and Smith married at Pentecostal church Marilou Ruth Eaton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Johu Eaton of Castlegar, and Stephen Kenneth Smith, son of Rev. and Mrs. Kenneth Smith of Castlegar, were united in marriage on Oct. 10, in the New Life Pentecostal Assembly in Castlegar. The church platform was decorated with tall candlebra with sprays of white and yellow mums. The altar flowers were white, yellow and mauve mums. White and yellow bows were on the pews. Music was provided by June Lepsoe on the piano. Brian and Joy Zaporozan rendered a wedding duet during the ceremony. The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father and joined at the altar by her mother for the giving of the bride. The bride wore a gown of crystal organza aver taffeta. The bodice featured a stand up collar of lace and pearls with illusion net yolk. It was form ‘filling and covered with lace and pearls. The large puffed sleeves were topped by a fabrie rose and tapered to lace and pearl trim at the wrists. The skirt was full, trimmed with a ruffle and lace ending in a long train. Her headpiece was a circlet of silk roses and pearls. The back was tuffeted and stood up with a row of pearls at the top. It was fingertip-length with pearls scattered about the edge. Her bouquet was two large orchids surrounded by white roses, stephanotis with pearl centers and entwined with ivy to make an airy arrange- ment. Matron of honor was Joy Zaporozan of Abbotsford, sister of the bride. Shelli Eaton of Castlegar was brides- maid for her sister, as were her cousins, Denika Eaton of Regina, and Diane Eaton of Calgary. They wore tea-length dresses made of yellow crystal organza over taffeta. They carried bouquets of mauve and white freesia and pale yellow baby carnations entwined with ivy. The flower girl was Lois Laube from Springside Sask., cousin of the bride. Her dress was tea length, mauve moife taffeta with a lace bustle. She carried a white lace basket containing paper rose petals which she scattered as she preceded the bride down the aisle. Eric Smith of Castlegar was best man for his brother. Groomsmen were brothers David of Castlegar, Gordon of Lloydminster Alta. and Douglas Eaton, MR. AND MRS. SMITH Stephen Kenneth Smi + Marilou Ruth Eaton and ere married recently. brother of the bride of Victoria. They wore light grey tuxedos, Ushering the guests at the church were friends Jacob Dillon and Gregory Sword. Gail Smith, sister-in- law of the groom from Lloydminster, was in charge of the guest book. The reception was held at the Sandman Inn, which was decorated with yellow and white streamers and bells. Table centerpieces were mauve flower arrangements. Master of ceremonies was Brian Zaporozan, brother-in- law of the bride, from Abbotsford. The toast to the bride was made by Robert Sahistrom, a close family friend.
