A warm welcome was extended to special guests Denise Reed, director of nursing, Irene Sample, vi Auxilian from Burnaby, Cindy Talarico, Eva Mohn and Mary Dickie of Castlegar. Stupnikoff, the auxili: A A special second donation was received from Ann Kalmakoff to the hospital auxiliary on behalf of her late husband John. The donation was greatly appreciated. Reports were heard from the com- mittee, including Muriel Wilson, area representative, and Marion Burton, a delegate for the auxiliary. Both atten- ded the BCAHA conference in Van- couver in June, Wilson said workshops held at the conference were Anadis by the area guests to her home. She also presen- ted Margaret Davidson, outgoing president, with a special gift and thanked her for a job well done. She in turn, thanked the Auxilians for their support. Teena Leitch received a meritorious award for her contribution as a volun- teer on behalf of the auxiliary and the hospital board. She has served since 1976 — six years on the board — as society representative and two years as an area representative. By sharing her skills, experience -and herself, Leitch is a giving, caring person whose aim is to provide volunteers, with fresh ideas and better understan- ding, an auxiliary news release says.
