books and other texts. It will maintain a collection of carefully selected titles in paperback editions. Also available will be lab coats, slide rules, briefcases, as well as general supplies such as notebooks, looseleaf refills and so on. Transportation Services It is expected that local bus companies will provide bus transportation to and from the College at convenient hours. Schedules will be published through the press and radio and posted in the student lounge. Motor Vehicles Systematic regulations of traffic speed and direction and of parking and stopping will be enforced on the campus. The maximum speed limit is fifteen miles per hour. Students will be permitted to park only in those areas specifically reserved for student parking. Student Housing The Dean’s office maintains a list of places where students may obtain room and board. It will supply this list on request but will make no recommendations con- cerning the boarding places included on the list. Students are expected to complete their own boarding arrangements. Student Health Services Facilities have been provided on campus to care for students who become ill during the college day. In addition, a Public Health Nurse will be in attendance at regular intervals. Emergency cases will be taken to the Castlegar Hospital. National Employment Service A full time officer of the National Employment Service will maintain an office on campus to assist students in securing full time employment after graduation, summer employment or casual employment during the college year. General Conduct College authorities do not assume responsibilities which properly rest with parents or guardians. It is the policy of the College Administration to rely upon the good sense of students to maintain standards of good behavior and dress. Unauthorized Student Activities The College Council prohibits any act by a student attending the College or by anyone, which might cause injury to a person or damage to College property.
