Council of the Family and the Castlegar Youth Club have collaborated on family day of events-focussed on the theme “Youth on Wheels.” The theme is ‘aimed at providing youth in the com- munity with an opportunity. to have a day of clean, safe fun events, Everyone’ is invited to come and enjoy the day's events. Bring a picnic lunch, and come and cheer your favorite team to victory. The day's festivities will begin with the “Youth on. Wheels" parade, which starts at 10 am. May 22. Starting point will be the old arena, continuing down Columbia Ave. to Srd Street, up Srd Street to Kinsman Park, where the parade will dis- perse after the presentation of awards, The afternoon events will begin at 1 p.m, at the rec- reation complex, ending at 5:30 p.m. There will be a variety of team-oriented events for the kids divided into the following age cate- gories; 3-5 years; 6-8 years; and 9-12 years, A marathon bicycle event for the hardier types will run from 1-3 p.m. There will be two separate routes: one for ages 13 and under and a longer course for ages 14-21.
