Saturday, Oct. 28 is the first Spooktacular Halloween Party for six-to-12-year-dlds. Join us for ap ple bobbing, pumpkin carving, a treasure hunt, games and costume par t% The party runs from 1:30 p.m, <3 p.m. at the Coniplex. HALLOWEEN PARTY On Oct. 31, we have a fun-filled Halloween Party. for all the preschoolers in the community: Star ting at 11 a.m. we invite all the three to five-year-olds (0 put on their costumes and join us for lunch, games and songs. There will be lots of Halloween excitement for all the little ghosts and gobblins. If your costume needs a little special Halloween makeup, plan to put the Complex on your trick or treat stops Come down to the Complex between 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. dressed in your costume wel’ll add that extra touch The cost of each program is $3 and pre registration is necessary SKATING LESSONS Skating lessons started on Monday for preschoolers but if-you would still like your three to five-year-old to learn to skate it’s not too late. Register him or her today for the remaining seven weeks of lessons. The key to the program is fun and at the same time basic fundamental skills will be lear ned. Smith has devoted many volun- teer hours to the cadet movement and will continue on with the squadron as special projects of- ficer A recent newcomer to Castlegar, Power moved from Parksville on Vancouver Island to aceept the position of instructor for the aviation department at Selkirk College. Power brings with him a host of knowledge and experience to the squadron including five years as-an Air Cadet with the No. 205 Squadron, Nanaimo, five years in the Royal Canadian Navy, and ex. change duty on the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga. In 1986, he joined the reserves to work with No. 893 Parksville Royal Canadian Air Cadets. He received the sword of honor in 1987 at Pat Bay and has had a variety of commercial flying and instructing positions.
