A little part of the industry ‘ exclusiviely to men. That's why I decided to write this article. To let men know that they also have their Place in fashion. There is more out there than just jeans and T-shirts. There's i with these items, but why not add a blazer and loafers instead of sneakers for that relaxed, well-dressed look. When going out, keep the T- shirt and blazer, but where dress pants instead of jeans, and dress shoes instead of loafers. If your going to a job-interview, the L. are very much influenced by appearances. Depending on where you want to work, you should really consider what you are going to wear. Part time job? Then wear casu- al dress pants, shirt (both must be neatly pressed) and casual shoes. If you are applying for an office. job, a suit is the way to go. Grey Joan Andrade and dark blue are the most popu- lar colours for suits. Combine this with a white shirt and fashionable tie (colourful prints, etc), and you provide the impression of maturi- ty and responsibility. Avoid pastel colours and browns. Pastel colours are wimpy and browns are downright boring. Women aren't the only ones who can accessorize their clothing. Men can to. There are watches, boots, hats, rings, neck- laces etc, which all add to create “the look" In Europe, men as well as women, Carry around purses, designed specifically for the man. They don't have shoulder Straps. Instead, these purses have a wrist strap. Preheat oven 2. Combine flour, baking pow- der, baking soda, salt, and oats in mixing bow] 3. Beat egg, sugar, melted margarine, banana, and raisins together 4. Add banana mixture to dry ingredients until just moist- ened 5. Fill muffin cups 3/4 full 6. bake at 375 for 15 - 18 min utes Yield: 12 muffins BANANA BREAD ‘Temp: 325 P Time | hr 1/2 cups of soft shortening or margarine 3/4 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 1/2 cups mashed very ripe bananas 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 cup flaked coconut, lightly toasted 2 tbsp. coconut 1. Heat oven to 325 F 2. Grease a 9x5x3 inch loaf pan 3. Beat shortening, sugar, and eggs together until fluffy 4. Beat in banana 5. Blend together flour, baking powder and salt 6. Add flour mixture to banana mixture and stir just to blend 7. Toast coconut in non-stick frypan on medium high heat, stirring constantly 8. Fold toasted coconut mix ture 9. Spoon into prepared pan 10. Sprinkle top with the 2 tbsp. coconut. 11. Bake 1 hour or until tooth pick comes out clean 12. Let cool in pan 10 minutes then tum out on rack 13. Wrap in foil to store BANANA HOLIDAY COOKIES Temp: 375 F Time: 10 - 12 minutes 2/3 cup shortening or mar- garine 2/3 cup sugar 2 eggs 2 1/4 cups flour The Hen Party 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1 cup mashed banana Optional: 1 cup chocolate chips or | cup raisins Toppings: nuts, coconut, col ored sugar, or cinnamon sugar 1. Heat oven to 375 F 2. Combine shortening and sugar 3. Beat in eggs until fluffy 4. Mix in flour, baking powder and salt 5. Add vanilla and banana 6. Add chips or raisins 7. Blend well 8. Drop by teaspoons on ungreased baking sheets 9. Sprinkle with any of the Suggested toppings if desired 10.
