IN MEMORY Polly Reibin Polly Reibin of Nelson, B.C. passed away peacefully at her residence at Willowhaven Private Hospital on Friday, Nov. 8, 1991. Polly was born in Langham, Sask. on Feb. 14, 1914. When she was six weeks old, she moved with her par- ents, Peter and Mary Boolinoff, to Thrums, B.C. In 1934, she married Fred Reibin and they made their home in Vallican. After farming there for 27 years, they moved near Castlegar where they lived for three years. In 1965, they moved to Nelson where they lived until their pass- ing. Polly has been a resident of Willowhaven for the past four and a half years. Polly was known for her friendly, hospitable personali- ty. When she was well, she loved visiting and talking with friends and relatives. Being with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was her greatest joy. She also loved to travel and she and her husband of- ten did in their healthier years. 4 Polly was predeceased by her husband, Fred, in Jan. 1981. She is survived by her daughter Irene Nemanishen of Langham, Sask., son Larry Reibin of Castlegar, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A sister, Katie Laktin, resides in Thrums. Funeral services will be held at Thompson Funeral Home in Nelson. On Wednesday, Nov. 13, prayer services are scheduled for 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. On Thursday, Nov. 14, viewing will occur from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with services from 11 a.m. to noon. Burial will follow at the Nelson Memorial Cemetary. Mary Atkinson Mary Atkinson passed away suddenly at Trail Regional Hospital on Wednesday, Nov. 6 1991. Mary was 81. Mary was born in Wybank, Sask., on Oct. 1, 1910. Mary is survived by her second husband, Arthur, sons Frank Zahn of Trail and Tony Zahn of Calgary, and daughters Kay Angerilli of Penticton, Bea Moxham of Castlegar, Janna Brownlie of Trail, Violet Jackson of Peers, Alta. and Diane Oake of Redondo Beach, Cali., Mary is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her first husband, George Zahn in 1975, grandson Calvin Brownlie in 1990 and two sisters and one brother in 1991. Furneral services were conducted at Kiro Manor on Tuesday, Nov. 12, with Father A.V. Maglio presiding.
