You will gain the skills required for advanced production techniques, effective project management and the new media business environment. MAXIMIZE YOUR EMPLOYABILITY The program addresses rapid technological changes in the new media industry and encourages creative solutions in the production of original materials for the interactive education and training, advertising and marketing, and entertainment industries. Using skills acquired in this program, you will be able to maximize employability using a broad range of multimedia production skills. Small class sizes allow excellent accessibility to instructors and equipment. Admission Requirements In addition to the general entrance requirements for admission to Selkirk College, applicants must meet the following criteria set by the Digital Arts & New Media Department. EDUCATION High school graduation (or equivalent) with a “C” or higher in Foundations of Math 11, or Apprenticeship Workplace 11, or equivalent and a “C” or higher in English 12. Visual Arts 11 (Media Arts or Art Foundations and Studio Arts) and/or Information & Communications Technology 11 are recommended.
