Four Mineral Claims Bought By Sper: kane Men, While in the Slocan recently M. R. Mr. Galusha says the sur- face on all these claims is excellent. The Colorado shows & large ledge which is not opened. The Silver Crown is the best devejoped in the group. A tunnel has been driven in 60 feet, all in ore and from this work 400 sacks of ore which will averago 100 ounces in silver has been taken out and is ready for shipment. “I have just received a letter, from Mr. Benton in which he says that with two men 300 sacke were taken out in 10 days. The orein this property is much like the ores of the other Slocan mines. Mr. Benton further eaid that a few days ago one shot brought down nearly six tons of ore. There will be several strong companies vperating in that country before long.” —— A STRANGE NURSERY. Dropping Watcr Puts the Bodies to Sleep.
