Ina’Claire Williams just
recently opened “Ina'Claire’s
Treasures” in the Castleaird
Plaza, in Castlegar. The Grand
Opening will take place Satur-
day, December 18. There will
be door prizes, and Richard
Widdifield will be on location
to do portraits all day, and of
course there will be a lot of fun.

Ina’Claire was born in Victo-
ria, B.C. and raised in the
Kootenays (Warfield). Her
father Herb Swanson, still lives
in Warfield. Ina’Claire’s great
uncle was the late Dr. Mike
Krause who practiced in Trail
years ago. Ina’Claire graduated
from J.L. Crowe and would like
to say hello to any old friends
who are still in this area

“This year we're planning a number of events to
promote CounterAttack. It isn't something that just
happens at Christmas

But what better time to make some noise about the
dangers of drinking drivers than during the Christmas
Season, a time when there are more impaired drivers
on the road than we'd like to admit

At the end of the countdown, led by Ferraro, stu
dents yelled, banged sticks on pails, rang bells, and one
group even revved up a skiddoo—bringing every
hands to their ears! Police and the local voluntee
department were also on hand, providing the students
with a show of support

Students won prizes for being, what else, loud. First
prize were two party-platters from Subway ond
was a bucket of chicken from KFC, and third was g
box of TimBits from Tim Hortons

Sounding off can be a lot of fur
