This tragic superstar, who
died in 1969, was the hostess
of “The Judy Garland Show”
during the 1963-64 TV sea-
son. She made her TV debut
in 1955 in a “Ford Star Jubi-
Iee™ special. Her second spe-
cial was for “General Electric
Theatre” in 1956. She was
supposed to have starred ina
1957 special, which was to be

with CBS, but disagreements
with the network stalled her
return to TV until 1962 and
1963, when she appeared in
two more CBS specials. Her
