The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white lace over taffeta, with pearl and applique work on the bodice. The gown featured leg-o-mutton sleeves and a scoop neckline. The cap-style, waist-length veil was made by the bride. She wore a pearl necklace and pearl earrings as jewelry and carried a silk bouquet of blue orchids, carnations and white and blue rosebuds with baby’s breath. Matron of honor, Christine Poohachoff, and brides- maid Debbie Sherstobitoff both wore floor-length light blue silk gowns with lace insets at the necklines. Best man Ronald Oakman and usher Lawrence Hadikin both wore grey tuxedoes. A reception was held at the Fireside Place in Castlegar. Solos at the reception were sung by Helen Horkoff and Steve Verigin, who also acted as master of ceremonies. ANNA BARISOFF Funeral held Anna Barisoff of Winlaw passed away March 20 at the age of 68. Funeral service was held Friday and Saturday at the Passmore Hall with burial in the Krestova Cemetery. Mrs. Barisoff was born Nov. 14, 1917 at Verigin, Sask. and came to B.C. in 1932, settling in Castlegar. She married Pete Barisoff in 1939 at Krestova where they lived until 1965 when they moved to Passmore. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting handicrafts and singing. She was an active member of the Passmore Se- nior Citizens. Mrs. Barisoff is survived by her husband Pete of Pass- more; one son, Peter of Pass- more; two daughters, Laura Verigin of Pass Creek and Shirley Relkoff of Winlaw; gin and sister, Vera Sbitney. After a hearty meal, the motorcyclists will continue their ride arriving back at Syd’s Cycle at about 3 p.m. All mototeyclists who par- ticipate in the ride will re- ceive a pin to show that they took part in the 1986 Fun Run and will be eligible for a draw for a leather jacket, the release says.
