Mrs. Perot's Daushter Refuses to Talk to Her er, Lonpon, ren Tae tira, William Y. Perot, of Baltimore, who was arreated at Liverpeol on a requisition warrant, July 17, after reaching that port from Can- ada, charged with the abduction of her daughter Gladys, and who wae brought ere and remanded the same day on £100 bail, with two sureties, appeared for ex- amination yeaterday morning in the Bow street police court. She was again remanded on the same bail and with the same sureties, Sir.G. Ewan Smith and N. Blood. Mrs, Perot ftooked remarksbly well and entered the court holding ker dauxh- ter by the hand, escorted by her bruther, T. Pierce, and Lady Colin Campbell. N. Blood, a brother of Lady Culiu Camp- bell, who accompanied Mrs, Perot to thia country, entered the court a few minutes later. There was some excitement in the courtroom when W. H. Perot, father-in- law of Mrs. Perot, entered, accompanied by Mr. Hodaen of the United States em- 8 Mr. Perot advanced to greet the child, but she hid her face in her hands, muttering, “I don’t wish to speak to you.” ‘But, my dear,’ he replied, “I have a letter from your father, and he sends his love.” The child wept, but did not answer, and Mr. Perot seemed much hurt.
