y 22, 1992 IN) MEMORY Howard Bruce McMillan of Robson died Monday, Jan. 20, 1992, at age 67. Mr. McMillan was born July 21, 1924 at Sakatoon, Sask. He grew up there and joined the Canadian Armed Forces and served over- seas during WWII. He joined the provincial police in 1947 and became an RCMP officer in 1950. He married Vyvyan Leclerc at Nanaimo, B.C. on May 15, 1950. In 1956 he began working. for Common Wealth Construction as a pipe fitter, and worked his way up to project manager and later to indus- trial relations. He retired from Common Wealth in 1987 and formed his own consulting company. He was a member and past president of the Castlegar Shrine Club, Masonic Lodge, Lions Club, Castlegar Golf Club and Castlegar Curling Club, and was an avid coin collector. He is survived by his wife, Vyvyan of Robson, two sons, Robert Bruce of Campbell River and Clifford Gregory of Revelstoke; two daughters, Bonnie Anne Poitras and Denise Heather Hutt, both of Revelstoke; seven grandchildren; and one brother, Ian of Etobicoke, Ont. at 1 p.m. with Rev. Dorothy Barker officiating. Creamation has taken place. Mr. Low was. born March 14, 1915 in Ontario. He grew up there_and married Myrtle Jones in 1969 in Castlegar. He worked as a painter and maintenance man and en- ‘joyed woodworking, watching hockey and baseball, walking and visiting friends. He is survived by his wife, Myrtle of Castlegar; one son, Wayne, and one daugh- ter, Jeanie, both of Ontario; four step-sons, Ed, Don and Leslie Pongracz of Castlegar and Rick Pongracz of Vancouver; three step- daughters. Liz Phillips, Barbara DeBiasio and Joanne Zoobkoff, all of Castlegar; 17 grand- children; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Jeanne of Toronto.
